Access Counseling, Inc. ("Access Counseling") is a 501(c)3 corporation dedicated to provide personal financial education to underserved populations. Access Counseling currently uses this web site to provide: (1) Credit Counseling for persons who are contemplating filing U.S. bankruptcy proceedings; and (2) Personal Financial Management Instructional Course for persons who have filed U.S. bankruptcy proceedings. You are required to present a Credit Counseling course completion certificate in order to file for consumer bankruptcy and a Debtor Education course completion certificate in order for the Court to approve your bankruptcy petition. Access Counseling has been approved to issue certificates in compliance with the Bankruptcy Code for these Courses in the states listed on the DOJ and Alabama. Approval does not endorse or assure the quality of an Agency’s services. If you have any questions, please review the list of authorized agencies in your state as specified on the DOJ and the Alabama Bankruptcy Administrators’ websites.
